Lancaster, CA. June 28, 2024 - Today’s Supreme Court decision is a significant step forward in our ongoing efforts to support and ensure the safety of our community. By allowing cities to enforce bans on the homeless sleeping outside in public places, this ruling empowers us to create vibrant, safe spaces for all residents of Lancaster.

The City of Lancaster is committed to addressing the complexities of homelessness with decisive action. Our multi-faceted approach includes the Kensington Campus facility, Hope of the Mission, and the Lancaster Police Department homeless services team.

We will be tough on crime and criminals in our city, addressing the blight and issues that arise from unchecked homelessness. By employing multiple approaches to mitigating homelessness and cultivating vital relationships locally and with key regional supporters, the City of Lancaster will effect positive change throughout our valley, providing relief and measurable progress for Lancaster residents and businesses alike.

Our priority remains the well-being of our community. We will engage the community and provide solutions that are specific and unique to Lancaster, guided by a principle of constructive compassion.
